this is a Steampunk book about world war 1 plus a little bit of ww2 with Deryn a girl in the British Air service disguied as a boy and Alek a boy who winds up on the Levethian who is a traitor to the Clanker natons or the central powers and ends up helping the Darwinists or the aliied powers

This book just gets weirder and weirder as I read the book. Jake does change a lot but, still I think the writer could have done it better
